My coworker who is a fellow Pinay suggested this website for purchasing novelty items that are supposed to remedy a current situation/personality defunct or just bring some good joo joo: http://www.starrystarry.com/. She had a friend buy her zodiac bracelet- as with bamboo plants, one is not supposed to purchase these lucky items for oneself for it is destined to bring upon bad luck- which she wears religiously. Apparently, if you are the holder of these bracelets, you and ONLY YOU can have physical contact with said bracelet- that means NO ONE can touch these bracelets, lest it bring bad luck upon yourself.

As if I'm not paranoid to begin with (my gamut of superstitions and hello, I'm Filipino), I'm actually going to have my mom (or Babe) buy me this lucky 8 bracelet- maybe if I go to Vegas in October, I'll go home BIG.
