I wish I were a Jew

The blog post wasn't an anti-Semitic prelude to a tirade, nor was it a means to start a ruckus (I have some dear Jewish friends)- it was more of an attention-grabber on the latest NY Times article I was reading: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/22/business/worldbusiness/22japan.html?_r=1&em.

We all know too well of the leery economic blight set before us and it's just replaying in my head like a broken record. I couldn't escape the fact that this article really emphasizes the point of being frugal and making do with what you have.

...a story that I'm not really familiar with since the past two or three years of my life have been wrought with materialistic desires and has manifested itself into too large of a wardrobe and drawers full of clothes I hardly wear- not to mention, lately I've transformed into a jeans, t-shirt, and cap-type gal.

I envy the Jewish approach to conserving resources and being especially scrupulous when it comes to finances. Why couldn't I be born into a Jewish family?! I know I'd have more money in the bizzank, that's for darn sure!

Pinch dem pennies y'all,
P
