1. CUT IT SHORT
"When I do two runs on high-mileage days, I often make the second run a three-miler. It's mentally easy to get back out there knowing it's that short."

2. TAKE IT EASY
"On days when I'm really tired, I take a really easy day. I have no problem running 10-minute miles if that's what my body is telling me it needs."

3. WIND IT DOWN
"Learning how to relax in difficult yoga poses has helped me relax during challengingworkouts and races."
